Position Overview:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for formulating and implementing policies, risk assessment and management, as well as budgeting processes. This role involves direct support to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, ensuring that our operations align with Afesis’s vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the Support Services team.
- Manage the implementation of operating and fundraising strategies.
- Oversee and report on annual budget development.
- Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures.
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation processes.
- Drive human capital management practices and people empowerment.
- Ensure effective secretariat services to the Board.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong planning and resource allocation skills.
- Confidence in engaging with donors and stakeholders.
- Technological integration for improved operational efficiency.
- Leadership that fosters a positive, high-performance work environment.
Requirements:
- Post-graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field.
- At least 7 years of senior managerial experience.
- Experience in finance auditing and budgeting within the NGO sector.
- Professional body registration with at least 5 years of full membership.
Salary: A total cost to company package ranging from R720,000 to R850,000.
